I called this place to discuss options for my child. They took a week to even schedule a “needs assessment”. When they called my house, the employee didn’t identify who she was and just called my cell phone asking to talk to my child, like she was a friend from school or something. I had to ask before the employee told me that her name was Jennifer and she wasn’t a degree holding counselor or social worker at all. She asked me to furnish them a full psychiatric evaluation since my child takes ADHD medicine, and I explained that we aren’t concerned about that medication. Her next question was “Is he willing to go inpatient?” And I said we had not even established that this was appropriate. What I expected was that someone with some training would talk to me, talk to my child, explain the services they offer and their professional opinion of what is needed. In reality they talked to my child for 30 minutes and hung up. No follow up, no conversation with me at all about what’s going on. People calling a center like this for resources should not wait an entire week and then not be offered any resources. That was valuable time that we could have gotten help somewhere else. It’s dangerous to be so incompetent in a field like this.

What an amazing program. Danielle is the best therapist my son has ever had. True progress was made here.

Vary on professional will never have any one go there It's a big joke staff are not on the same page at all . My son was there for about 2 weeks and had to pick him up do to things going on there . If your kids need help take them elsewhere for help not there . Then when u call there they dont call u back at all it's out of control.

If I were you Id go to turning point or ACTS in tampa. Much better service from people who actually care, not just put up a front like they're concerned for your well being. PAR is loaded with counselors who deviate from workplace norms and do somewhat unprofessional workplace practices. They are in it for themselves and their careers, not for the addicted client who is desperately trying to get a handle on their lives before its too late. I wish you the best Deniz

Do you help for free? Or take Medicaid?

Not for free, yes medicaid, medicare and blur card. This IS not the place for many people so I advice you to look at other programs first. There is alot going on at PAR that most in public do not know about or realize. The treatment you get has VERY high potential to NOT help you as it didn't for me and many of my friends who've been to one par location or another. And lastly, you are female and there is so much out there about the male counselors here and female intakes. Ask around and you'll figure it out. If all else fails there is one place I know for a fact which has more mature, caring counselors and it is free ACTS in tampa. I hope it works out for you!

Does the facility have a gym for exercise therapy?

No. And if its like one my brother was at, you will leave with bed bugs and unfulfillment. Check everywhere else first, please!
