This review is for the newbies and the parents lugging a bunch of bags, swimmies, etc. Go to the right side of the building, towards the back of the parking lot. That’s where the pool entrance is :)

I would avoid joining this ymca as they do not want anyone to join the age group swim team as the coaches care more about making money than thinking about the athletes and anyone. They should let anyone join. They would not let me when I was younger and I know that the facility is to old and needs to be torn down. I know that it is a better idea to join a facility that is not ymca based as it is cheaper. I went to a different facility in a different town and they let me join the swim team cause they cared more. The ymca swim team has olympic athletes in them. The ymca people are not nice in cary and would not let me join since the coaches are evil.

When I deadlift with straps and don't drop weights, I get called disrespectful and kicked out by the manager. I'm also told to find a new gym, even when following the rules of not dropping weights. When I see other gymgoers actively slamming medicine balls, dropping deadlifts, dropping dumbbells, staff doesn't say a word. I understand the gym is poorly placed on the second floor, so at least be consistent with the rules or add platforms and get new barbells. Obviously very old barbells and plates are going to make a lot of noise, no matter how much control one has. I've called before and confirmed that deadlifting is allowed. Yet, when staff comes to me during my first warm up sets telling me I'm breaking the rules, what am I supposed to think? Either they hate me specifically - a quiet person who minds his own business - or they hate asians

All the classes are included in the Y membership, the cost of which varies based on the membership you get. See their website for more info. Taylor offers many yoga classes. I haven't seen ones geared specifically for seniors, but I know there's a gentle yoga class, etc. and many seniors attend the yoga classes offered.
If it hasnt lapsed 90 days no. If it has, yes
There are two pools, one is always outdoor (and closed in the colder seasons), the other is under a bubble when it gets cold, and is essentially an indoor pool when it is cooler, but is uncovered for the summer.
15 laps. It's posted on a sign on the track
Yes, you can get a key for lockers at the front desk, and there is a steam room and a dry sauna in the locker room.

Yes, the Taylor YMCA participates in Nationwide Membership. This program allows YMCA members from other states to use our facilities. Thanks.
