I was pleasantly surprised at my Labor Day weekend stay at this place. The staff was very kind and helpful. My room was descent-very clean and quiet. I really appreciated the complimentary breakfast. The location was safe and conveniently in proximity to various eating establishments, grocery stores, and retail shops. Great location for potentially great hotel. Limited maid service. Below mediocre rooms with smoke stink. Used to be Days Inn.

I am giving one star because the female receptionists were very nice, friendly and helpful. We booked a room for three adults and the hotel seemed to fit our needs. The first problem was a credit card reader not working properly at the reception - probably due to mishandling by the employee. In the room there were only one bed instead of two, which is rather uncomfortable for three adults... Almost all the doors and gates squeaked. The parking spaces near the rooms were reserved for visitors to the attached restaurant. In three days neither the rooms were cleaned nor the towels changed. The rooms were extremely worn, but at least clean. That's enough for one night if you're passing through, but not for a holiday here. The breakfast is more than manageable. The juice machine was broken, but there was juice from small plastic bottles. The staff in the breakfast room was very friendly, but unfortunately not (yet) fluent in English. The pool is nice, but unfortunately a bit old. In the end we came to terms, but were happy when things went on for us. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is in no way right here. The price is way overpriced for what you get. Perhaps the inflated price is due to the proximity to the beach or Torrance's low (for LA) crime rate.
