Worth the hike but it's easy to lose the official trail. Stick to the right side as much as possible and realize that you eventually will follow the trail up away from the river. If you follow right along the water the whole way then you'll end up in a restricted area underneath the bridge.

Heads up is about 2 hours one way and 2 head back Minimum so BRING plenty of drinkable water and snacks , also bring waterproof shoes cause you will get wet where you like it or not . Even if you don't get to the end (bridge) is a pretty Awesome place to explore

Before you go up the canyon there's a stop and go at Sierra Madre and Azusa you can get the pass there.
Yes you can, but needs to be on a leash. Hope this helps. Have a good day š
Established sites about a half mile walk from the trail head. Or you can backpack in and pitch a tent just about wherever you want.
Yes you can... But to the bridge is only hiking...
You need an adventure pass. You could purchase the daily pass for 5 dollars or annual for 30. They sell it at big5 and gas stations near the canyon.
Idk about all those confusing directions. Lol! Just make a right on East Fork a few miles after you enter the mountain area. Go straight till it ends. You'll wind up in a parking lot with a restroom. Take any trail that follows the river up the mountain. They all go the same route. I suggest going on a hot day and walk through the river. It's beautiful!
No, as long as you have the Adventure Pass you'll be fine. I was there last week and saw at least 15 cars with tickets on the windshield.
Yes the kids love this trail. During summer I take my son and nephew to get in the pools.
Yes you can. For us it was Free as long as take your tent and follow safety rules.
The pass only works for the main parking lot and areas designated parking is allowed. Avoid the NO PARKING signs because your car will be towed.
Midweek may not be so crowded. Watch out for snakes and Big Horn sheep. I've encountered both.
The Bungee America trail is 4.2 miles from the parking lot to the Bridge To Nowhere.
Very rough terrain, just for hiking. I don't even see mountain bikers.
All of the access roads were still closed this morning.
Yes. My son went yesterday. He said Bungee wasnt open. Maybe only on weekends?
Honestly, not sure about overnight camping. You can make a good all day trip if you leave early enough to get the best parking. š
Im not sure how long there has been a fire in azusa but I went Sunday and it was open!
I didnt see any Rvs.. parking would be an issue. Lots of tents!!
I saw plenty of camping today. You need a wilderness pass
There are a number of places where you need to cross the river on the hike. There were also people riding inner tubes and rafts down the river.
Not at all! You are free to go at anytime
They enforce parking wilderness passes on the weekends only. The weekdays you are good.
If you stick to a good trail and don't take too long in water crossings you are in for 4-6 hours of walking(lunch break included). š š
I don't. But Ive don't it many times. Two things: 1 stick to the trail on the right side of the canyon as much as you humanly can. 2 it's not strenuous activity but most people's feet cannot handle the uneven terrain. If you don't pay attention to #1, #2 gets way worse because you walk on river stones the whole time.
Yes you do. You can buy one in nearly any store before entering into the canyon area. I always get mine at the liquor store on the corner of Sierra Madre Blvd and San Gabriel Canyon Rd.
