Good places to visit, get food, water toys, etc. We like to put peanut butter on our girls toes and let them feed the fish at the marina. Smith mountain lake is awesome!

This is a nice, family-friendly shopping and recreational center. Gift shops are a little pricey, but that goes with the territory of being on the lake. There is a nice putt-putt course, climbing wall, several restaurants, an arcade, a place to feed fish and ducks, and more.

The Covid safety practices at Bridgewater Plaza are the same as any around. Maintain a 6 feet distance, masks must be worn to enter any business, for restaurants as soon as you sit down you are able to take your mask off. Always wash your hands and keep your sneezes to yourself buy using you arm/elbow.
There's no beach, but water access to boats. Lots of docking room!
If on boat, then yes. If in the marina area, yes. Not sure about in stores.
The carousel isn't at Bridgewater but on the other side of the lake past the state park .it is still there.
