Nice selection of wide gravel beginner trails and steep narrow trails. Has a "cardiac hill" and connects up with the Murrysville/Export/Trafford bike trail. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes maintaining the paths and biodiversity of this park.

What better place to hike on a warm spring day! The snow drop flowers are blooming and the trillium will soon follow! The stream is crystal clear. The trails require some navigation through the mud, but isn’t that the fun part of hiking? There are trails ranging from easy to rigorous so that everyone can enjoy a walk in the park! The trees will bud soon, summer will follow, and Duff will look like a prehistoric forest with giant ferns. For bird watchers, Duff is an exciting place to carry your camera! Autumn will be an extraordinary display of colorful leaves, and winter will be a wonderland inside Duff’s canopy!

Great trails that are very well kept with a lot of options. Be sure you know the trails or you go with someone who does as the maps that are available are hard to read. The main trail by the water is a fairly easy walk with the harder trails being up in the woods away from the water.

This is a gorgeous park with so much to do! The main trail is great for runners, strollers and bikes, with beautiful views around every corner. My daughter loves coming here and watching the stream as we walk. No matter how busy it gets, the people are kind, courteous and follow social distancing. The hiking trails here are my favorite throughout Westmoreland County. There is a trail here for you no matter your activity level! If you're coming towards the end of your walk and aren't ready to finish, it's easy to loop and connect to different trails in this park. You can easily loop around again and find alternative routes to see new sites. Everything is well maintained and anytime a tree falls on the trail, it's removed or cut down that week.

So you can just park at the normal Duff Park parking lot along School Road to get onto the Funk Bikeway at Duff. Or you can park at the Westmoreland Heritage Trail Turtle Creek extension which is near the fireplace store in Murrysville. That trail is nearly all flat!!
