Old World with modern prices. Almost $40 for two beers and a single plate of food was over $40. That’s more expensive than Universal Studios. Huge rip off!! I will never be back, the crowd was also obnoxious on a Sunday afternoon.

I went to Old World a couple of years ago for Weiner dog races and had a great time. Decided to try Octoberfest on a Saturday night... Big mistake!! It took 30 minutes in line just to get a ticket to get inside. Then men are literally frisked before being allow in, and women's purses, jackets, pockets are searched. Once inside, if was immediately apparent it was oversold. Super crowded with standing room only, and this was early in the evening, around 7:30. Food was pretty good but expensive. The real kicker is there is no place to sit once you have food. You literally have to reserve a table before hand and they do not have enough tables for all the people that they let inside. It was a very disappointing experience. I had a much better time at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim. Much bigger venue, many more tables where it's "first come"... Not reserved tables. Phoenix Club has a better band... Overall, just a better experience. Old World Octoberfest is just a way for the company to cram people in and overcharge for beer and brats. There are way better Octoberfest's out there. I would steer clear of this one!
