With the classic mochi store closed in San Francisco’s Japantown, I was so excited to stumble upon Osaka-Ya. They make perfect and diverse flavors of fresh mochi daily, and have a selection of classic Japanese snacks. Highly recommend!

Shaved ice here is not good, but I'm comparing it to salt water in West sac. That is where you should go for shaved ice with ice cream.

They made onigiri, but haven't seen any nigiri yet. Call them up for new year hours though
