True ambiance of Downtown and even when I was very young Central has been around. The selection is great and if can't find what you're looking for there's Link plus. And you can see me using the catalog trying to find new things read, watch or listen to. Cheapest source of entertainment you can find!!

Clean, quiet, friendly staff; parking is ok. For sure better than the central library in Seattle.

Is there free parking near this public library? Parking seems so little in our downtown area.😁 Thankful for what we have here though. Sac is beautiful. I'm originally from Fresno, CA. Yes, Sac is beautiful.

There is no free parking, unless it's on the weekends.
I think they still do walk-ups on a first come first serve basis. But, It's best to get an appointment if you have the time. I have heard of folk w/o apps having to wait all day and still not getting seen.
Only the East side of the library is haunted ! As that's the Original library the rest is relatively new, As patrons have been spotted reading and studying through the windows.after Midnight

Yes, it is a public library. Feel free to apply for a library card and/or browse the materials. Just ask someone at the front desk if you need help with anything.

No, they will issue you a free internet card.
What can I do to have MLK Library control the misbehavior of some teens? Way too loud , run around and foul languages. The Librarians do not do anything to them .

There is a parking garage one block south of the library that you can pay to park in.

No, reading a book there is free. You can also check out a book and take it home to read.
