Do yourself a favor and take your business to Schuylkill Gun Works right down the street. I brought my trigger mechanism in to shakeys (gun already taken apart so he didn’t have to) and pointed at a spot and asked him what the part was called that my gun was missing. The owner of the shop visually LOOKED at it, told me what the part was called, and then proceeded to charge me a $73 labor charge. He didn’t even need to touch the gun. He then proceeded to order the part and told me it would cost $50, but when I went home I found a 3 pack for $9. When I asked them about it they stated it was an “accident.” I expected to be able to walk in to a local gun shop and get some advice on what the part was called, but I guess I was wrong. Bad business in my opinion!

I have been a customer at Shakey’s For years! I cannot say enough about how they take care of their customers from start to finish. On my most recent purchase I had some very technical questions about my AR Build and was amazed at the level of knowledge, experience, and overall care demonstrated by the owner. The selection of firearms, Accessories, Parts, and Ammunition is always robust, even during a pandemic when many gun stores weren’t able to source it. Prices are excellent also! When I visit the shop I feel like I’m more than just a customer, but instead I’m part of the family. I continue to do business at Shakeys, and look forward to my trips to the store.
