Honest and caring under difficult circumstances. Called 5 vets ...they helped my sweet old pal. Best veterinarian.

I took in my sweet dog today because he had been vomiting about every 30 min for the past 24 hours and was told he would be seen within 3-4 hours. I was completely fine with waiting as I understand there are more urgent cases that's need attention first. However after waiting for 4 hours we had to go and ask what was going on. Then after complaint they finally took my dog back, looked at him for less than 5 minutes and told us the vet would come and talk to us about what was wrong. Another 30 min goes by and nothing. when we check in again we finally get an exam room. After another 30 min still nothing so we ask what's going on and get told it'll be another 2-3 hours. Absolutely ridiculous, there was 0 communication to us and the vet didn't even have the decency to come talk to us face to face. Save your time and money and literally go to any other emergency room. I can almost guarantee the communication and service will be better. If they couldn't treat my dog, they should've never told me to come in and then I could've taken him somewhere useful where they would actually take his treatment seriously. I would give 0 stars if I could. Don't bring your fur babies here!!! We left with no treatment and 0 answers. Completely useless clinic that doesn’t actually care about your pets health

The staff here are just wonderful, just really helpful, informative, and reassuring with me. I honestly feel bad for them, because my cat was an absolute terror to them for the whole visit!

On Father's day we rushed our dog Baxter to this location because he wasn't acting himself. We were ultimately told we would have to put him down. The staff up to this point was nothing, but great and supportive. Fast forward to the day we had to put him down. We showed up to say goodbye to our fur baby and the staff had informed us of the cremation processes. They told us that the cremation services would get back to us and we will be able to order a paw print at that time. They sent us a text that event states "A rep from the cremation services will reach out to you." No one explained to us that we had to reach out to the cremation services if we were choosing a group cremation. Today, 7/19/22 I was now fully informed by your staff member how the group cremations work. In a time of loss and mourning your staff misinformed me and my boyfriend and now I'll never get my dog's footprint. You guys took that from me. I wouldn't trust them with your pet. Note: A couple of days after we put our dog down I called the cremation place and left a VM, which they didn't return.

Questions & Answers

Are you a primary care vet as well as emergency? Thank

Unfortunately they are not. Only emergencies. I would recommend East Sacramento vet, Dr. Collins. He is awesome!

Is this place for emergencies only? Or do the do regular appointments like annual exams and vaccinations?

Hello - I've got a rather urgent question. My cat just had her very first kitten. She's got maybe two more kittens still inside her but it's been five hours since her first kitten's birth and she isn't giving birth. Does she need emergency surgery?
