I went in last week to get my plates changed over from out of state. The ladies there were very rude. They were adimate I did not pay enough sales tax from the state I came from and was trying to make me pay another $390 in sales tax. They do not realize I could of not got my plates in the other state if the taxes were not paid? The "supervisor" said I did not pay enough. Who is she to make that call? I took all my paperwork over to Warrenton and let them know what happened at this hole in the wall. The state sales tax WAS correct and verified on my prior states website. And just to let this little bumpkin town know, the place I purchased my car at in the other state is a DMV. They are private run DMVs in my old state, but government funded. Dont waste your time going here. You will be insulted, talked to in a condescending manner, and basically refused service because of their lack of expertise. Save yourself the time and frustration and go to Warrenton where you will receive A+ service with professionalism. If I could give this place a zero star rating I would.

In all the places around the US that I have lived, I have dreaded the DMV. I hardly ever give good reviews too but this experience was awesome. Be advised I took the time (approximately 4 hours) reviewing what exactly I needed to have with me. I was prepared going in. Lisa helped me today and was wonderful! Everyone was friendly and with the appointment I made online it was extremely fast getting in and out. If you go to this office and you walk out unhappy it's because YOU didnt prepare. Great job ladies!

DMV Select offices can't process drivers license transactions. If you renew your DL at a full service (or mobile) DMV office, your new license will be mailed to you.

You need to make an appointment for any and everything for DMV. Go on line some you can get it in a week other it takes 1 to 2 months.

Yes! If you have everything required.
I belive the most DMV Select locations would do that. But before going I would give them a call. Calling the main DMV numbers are a waste of time right now. Google the local number for the office you plan on visiting and try to get your answer. I sent an email and it took more than three weeks to get a response, not an answer. I would consider any transactions online if available. They are really appear to be putting all their efforts on that now.
You don't have to do appointments at Remington DMV. JUST GET THERE EARLY.

As long as you have the title that she has signed you should be able to visit your local department of motor vehicles to have the title transferred into your name. Be sure to have a VA id/driver's license w/ your correct address along with another piece of mail such as a light bill, rent or mortgage agreement if you've never had a vehicle registered in your name in the state of Virginia.
