My daughter lost something very valuable and she called and asked cashier to go check to see if it was outside and she couldn’t take 5 seconds to go look Daughter went back and found it and it’s broken and not fixable. Like it only takes 5 seconds to go look and they are rude

Dirty, unorganized, nothing in place, aisles filled with trash and items not put back on the shelves, and obviously under staffed with people who care about their customers.

We were on a 2 hr trip to Charlottesville for our son's Doctors appointments. He threw up on the way. We thought "Hey, there's a Dollar General. We can get everything fixed up!" Got him some water. 👍 No saltine crackers so grabbed some pretzels. No kids shirts do looked for some stain remover. Nope! Ended up grabbing a man's size Small t-shirt which made him look like he was wearing a dress. Yes on paper towels and baby wipes, thank goodness! We made do with what they had but was disappointed. Store was clean except for stocking carts on many of the isles. The cashier, looked to be the only one working as she was stocking shelves in between customers, seemed a bit worn out. Not unfriendly just didn't seem to care.

Love this place. Usually crowded but able to get items needed. Manager is awesome and friendly.
