I purchased a phone via Verizon's call center and arranged to pick it up at their Monaca store, 10 miles away. The agent told me to be sure to bring my old phone (trading it in) and my photo ID, and these instructions were reiterated with their text to me when the phone was ready. I complied, but when I arrived, the manager (Jaime) would not release the phone because I didn't bring the credit card used for the transaction even though this requirement had not been mentioned before. I suggested that we cancel that order and I would re-buy the phone with a card in my wallet, but he said no to that as well. These people, especially Jaime, have zero customer focus. I suggest that you take your business elsewhere.

I am thankful for the great service at this store. I was sleep deprived and having a tough day already, when I realized that i needed a replacement phone urgently - and was grateful to find that this store is open Sundays. Katie was my salesperson: she was incredibly helpful and extremely patient. I really appreciate it and am happy with the new phone.

No. The account owner or any account manager can go online or in-store and choose the device and add the line. If it's a gift though, I Recommend going to the store, that way you see the device before hand. If the wrong phone ships then you have an issue to deal with, not to mention you have to get it shipped somewhere the "gift receipt" won't easily see it...
