The general start time for the convoy to move from Irwindale to Pasadena is 5 PM on the 31st. This can vary widely though as there can be issues with floats, tow vehicles, Tournament, or the police escorts. Generally, there are separate convoys for the AES, Fiesta, and Phoenix floats. It can take anywhere from 4 to 8 hours. The route is south on Irwindale Blvd, west on Arrow Hwy, Live Oak Ave, and Las Tunas Dr, north on Temple City Blvd., west on Huntington Dr., and then north on Fair Oaks Ave. into Pasadena. No, we don't get to go on the 210 freeway, though it has been considered many times and would be a whole lot easier and faster! It's actually not that bad of an idea, but the concern (from the CHP) is the accidents from folks slowing down to look at and take pictures of the floats.
They go up temple blvd
They usually move them late at night , I'm thinking some where between 10-1am
I went with a group from donate life a few weeks ago but it wasn't alot of people watching...this late in the game they only want people helping as they are adding the final touches
Of they are still in irwindale it will be later today and they take them down the 210 freeway. I possibly could be tonight
It depends on where they are of there still in irwindale they take them down the 10 freeway to Pasadena where they get finished prior to the parade.
How many?
The floats to be return to irwindale on Wednesday night
They will transport them tonight
Around 230pm
4 pm
Ok thanks.beautiful floats..very impressive.thanks
Sometime late evening, early morning; they need a lot of space to move around and they travel at slow speed. Call Fiesta Parede Floats and ask
They leave around 3
Irwindale avenue south to Arrow Hwy west to Live Oak Ave.live oak becomes Las Tunas . Las tunas to Temple City Blvd north to Huntington Drive west to Fair Oaks
They will most likely leave early in the morning on January 1st
There is also a web site to sign up through. They ask you work in 8 hour shifts.
They start driving the floats about 6 pm the night before the parade. It takes about 12 hours to drive them to Pasadena.
