Took a day trip to Metropolis (how awesome is that) to check out the Super(man) museum and store. They are dog friendly so you can bring your little buddy along. Wasn't sure what expect, burnt was very surprised how much they have in there. A lot of costumes from the movies and the shows. Lots of neat background information in the museum.

Plenty of RV parking on the side streets, otherwise plenty of car parking everywhere. $8 to enter the museum person, it's more of a place where the collection is kept, lots of stuff to see. The downside is there aren't enough lights, had to use my flashlight on my cell phone quite a bit to be able to read stuff or look at things that are in cabinets, lots of dust everywhere, lots of signs that say under construction which have been there for a while that you can tell, definitely needs a facelift, a bit pricey at $8 for what you get. But if you're Superman fan, you'll enjoy it no matter what. Bring a flashlight.

If you're a superman fan, this place has it all. The gift shop is packed with memorabilia and there's photo ops out side the building.

The museum was excellent, it blew my mind that they have ACTUAL props from the 1950's superman tv series...AND ONE OF CHRISTOPHER REEVES FULL SUITS!!! PS: do not recommend trying to go upstairs...

Gonna be a little tight, but manageable.
We went a few days ago. It was five dollars a person...it was fun....
$5 general admission. Kids 5 and under are free with a paid adult.
The main store and comic book store is free. You can go in back and see all the statues for $5.
The name of the town existed before Superman was created.
It's open all year. It costs $5 to go through. DEFINITELY worth it!!! Enjoy your trip!
5 hours and 5 minutes. It is located in Metropolis Illinois. Maybe they can not access Google maps. Curiosity killed the cat and we don't have nine lives. Please try to treat others with kindness and respect. None of your answers were helpful. Sorry some people are rude and are sucked so far into the world of technology that they can not find anything without a Google map or a smartphone. I hope that this helps you. Have a great day.
There are some hotels close by along the Ohio River with large parking lots. There might be somewhere near those.
