If you miss South Bay's permanently closed Sur la Table, this is a great spot to fill the gap. It has smaller square footage, but is packed high with products including Nordic Ware, OXO, Le Creuset, Breville, Microplane and other cookware heavy hitters

This is an amazing cooking store that will fulfill all of your desires, whether your refreshing and upgrading your cookware or giving in to a last-minute cooking whim. The staff is knowledgeable and will advise you on what you need without necessarily steering you in the most expensive direction. Most of their brands are made in US, France, or rest of Europe.

You should call and ask!

Does the Catalina Cooking store have cooking classes?

Yes we do have demo classes, generally offered once a month and led by Chef Christine Brown. We have no set schedule as they are dependent on Chef Christine’s availability, but typically they are held on the last Wednesday of the month. To get notified when a class is being offered, follow us on Facebook or instagram, or sign up to join our mailing list via our website!

I am making a wild mushroom parcel (an appetizer in parchment paper and tied with string), a recipe from the Plenty cookbook. Do you sell ovenproof string? If I can't find any, can I use plain white thread?

They definitely sell butchers twine, which you can use in the oven for your parcels.
