Yes and no. I was baptized Catholic and began dating a Greek Orthodox lady whose priest insisted I be rebaptized Orthodox. But the bishop forbade it. So we had to do it secretly. Several very silly to me. And theologically flawed. So I would say they it is negotiable. If it is truly important to you, I'm confident you can find a Church willing to work with you. And if they do NOT welcome you, then follow Jesus's advice and shake the dust from your feet and move on. Most important is that you take change of your spiritual journey ..Your eternal salvation is at stake!
