Took our cat in since she had been sick and not eating for several days. Thought she'd have to be euthanized but Dr. Pena examined her and felt they could help her. She was admitted to their hospital and with their care and medication she rallied. She is now home and doing well.

I had to do the worst thing imaginable today by helping my dog over the rainbow bridge. This office made it so less painful. The staff was so caring and compassionate and the doctor was gentle and kind.

I have been going to VCA Adler since it was Adler Vet group for 12+ yrs. and I have 4 cats under their care from the initial visit till present. I have brought my friends to come to this vet place as well and including my Rabbit is under their care up to date. I have rescued a Cat and also placed under their care, I have supported this place well whatever recommendations they provide, i follow and spend lots of money for all my pets. I even have 2 under their VCA care club. Overall they deliver so I give 2 stars for that and the care they give but... This review is how my Senior cat 13 y/o service has been utterly mishandled and provided unacceptable treatment in significant fashion relative to boarding/hospital stay for the past holiday season. I have called days before the Dec. 27th boarding for my cat. Spoke to Janet initially and checked in with Dr. Camelio for approval contingent to the meds he takes. Did not get a call back..day or two I called spoke to Lilyana and said they scheduled him for boarding/hospital and all set for price of $49+ per night. Requested for email confirmation, none received. Text was done and confirmed his stay, they responded thanks! I have booked him 27th till the 3rd of January 2022. Janet called the day after Lilyana confirmed and said I'm so sorry Lilyana provided you the wrong information and stated will be staying at our hospital for the same rate instead of the boarding place relative to his meds which is fine. Janet called again the day before boarding and said the new rate will be $140-190+ for the stay due to the recent Cardio notes that his specialty doctor provided. The specialty Cardio doctor was referred by VCA Adler which in high fashion in retrospect to compliance with their recommendations of needed care for my cat. My cat is fine and just needed these meds to be given and again the focus is for meds to be given for time frame of booking. I agreed to the new cost given with no question. Day of boarding, Janet called early morning and said Im sorry we cannot take your cat as we have no electricity. Clearly not the case and doesn't want to deal with my Senior cat with meds in place to be given. All arrangements went to waste, last minute hard arrangements had to be made for alternative care/plan. VCA Adler never called back that day as they/Janet said they would once the issue has been resolved. They are not equipped to handle such care, did not care at all as they clearly overlooked this case despite how simple what needs to be done. How this was handled was extremely disappointing, disheartening despite all the support given to this vet place. My Senior cat is well and thriving up to date especially after the dates expected to be boarded at VCA Adler. No changes has been made and he is still under VCA Adler care at this time plus the specialty place. All 4 cats and the Rabbit is still under their care despite all this. The level of service and communication has been a disarray, even for calling for open slots they can't accommodate and even say we can look into what might open and call you to find out whats needed for your furry love ones. Even for a teleadvice or whatever.

I've been going to Adler for years, but always with dogs... I know they had a vet specializing in birds at one point. I believe they have their version listed on the website with specialties - or you can give them a call, they're quite nice. Sometimes they are very busy and may need you to hold or call back.
