Some of the hardest working, craziest and nicest people you will ever meet, especially when the fecal matter is hitting the fan. There is nothing that compares to people who will give up their free time to make sure that you and yours receive the best possible service when the fecal matter hits the fan. These folks are, by far, the superheroes of Nedrow. I am not a member as I do not live in the area any more, but I can't say enough good about them.

On Memorial Day evening, I, a disabled person with MS, had an attack of my vagus nerve. I did not know that was happening. I just knew every part of my body was shutting down, I was sweating profusely and couldn't move a muscle. The paramedics came in, shouting at me to get up and help them get me on to the stretcher, assuming that I was overdosing on herorin and absolutely did not belive I was disabled. Then a Nedrow fire fighter came into the bathroom and spoke softly and respectfully to me and actually helped me to try and put every ounce of energy I had into helping him help me. I was utterly embarrassed bc of my weight, my disability and the fact that I was naked from the waist down but that fire fighter gave me just a little bit of dignity that those paramedics had taken from me. Yes I am black and I live in a middle/lower income area but I don't use illegal drugs. My vagus nerve took everything away from every part of my body except my digestive system, and I was a limp, although heavy noodle. God forgive me for that. I am still a human being and deserve the same respect that you all expect from me. Nedrow fire fighters are the real deal and I am so glad to know that they are out there protecting this town.
