09/07/2022 I’m changing my review to reflect my current experiences. I’m currently in the process of adopting another pup and when the facility called Paola Vet Clinic they were given misinformation. I corrected this with the facility but wanted to make sure the information was correct in my current dogs file. I called them to confirm the situation and was met with attitude from Amanda. No accountability, no apology just snarky. This isn’t the first time I’ve felt her being abrasive. She’s hung up on me before, short on the phone, and honestly she comes off rude. I absolutely love doctor Elli and the rest of the staff but as the first face and interaction leaves me extremely dissatisfied. This wouldn’t be such a big deal but I’m in there frequently with boy. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They've been amazing with my English bulldog that is going through liver disease. My pup just loves them as well.

Place has actually been going down hill for months now. Really wish the owners would take a minute and reevaluate the situation there. I’ve heard several bad moments from several different people about the practice. For example, they have missed an ear mass growing in my cats ear then finally caught it a year later. Then when they ran an ear cytology recently they missed ear mites. So what was the point of paying all that money if they just missed the problems? Luckily I took him to my work and we caught all the issues. Then my grandma took her dying dog in, and they wouldn’t let her be with the pet. Then when she brought her other pet in for a nail trim they stood in the lobby and yelled at my grandma who is hard of hearing, and said she owed money from the euth. But she has already paid most of it off and the HEAD people at Louisburg said to go ahead and do the nail trim it was okay. But no the vet at paola decided to sit and yell at an elderly couple infront of everyone instead of handling it in private. One of my friends has a cat who she rescued as a kitten from being outside and when she took the cat in for his last round of boosters the vet there told her to put him back outside and that’s were he belonged. That’s so disrespectful, In many ways, telling someone to put a rescued cat back outside. We loved this practice when it first opened but whoever the vet is there now is ridiculous and unprofessional. That’s not how you handle business. It’s worth traveling to the city for a better experience.
