First of all the comment made by Joan Den is far from the truth. In fact she never applied or was a tenant of this authority. The website is wrong. The Housing Authority is opened for public housing applications ONLY at this time and hours of operation is from 9 AM to 12:00 PM (closed for lunch 12 to 12:30) and from 12:30 to 4:30 PM. Whomever gathered this information is wrong.

It depends on our vacancy and we do have local preferences including homeless, residents of the City of Pittston, Veterans, Victims of Domestic Violence, Disabled on permanent disability, etc.
As answered in the first question. It depends on our vacancy. We will give a preference to people on a permanent disability, veterans, residents of the City of Pittston, 62 years or older before other individuals.
