Horrible! Referred for 3 tests and they dropped ball performing 3 unneeded tests. Wasted no time to send me an $11,400 bill. Took them 2 nurses to start an IV. Looks anywhere else but this unprofessional Healthcare outfit; Providence Medical!

I had to be hospitalized for 2 weeks almost 3 and the hospitalist and the infectious disease doctors were very rude. They thought I was fat and told me I was lying.

They don't have doctors in the emergency room, only nurse practitioners which misdiagnosed my wife and sent her home. She's worse, I found out about no doctors because I wasn't here the first time and we came back because she got worse at which time I was told no doctors only NPs. The nurse practitioner called me the first time my wife was in here and didn't even know why she came in. Then she told me my wife was fine even with bad blood tests, very high ketones and still doubled over in pain. She told me my wife was drinking fluids just fine (never happened) and sent her home. In her notes after the visit she wrote that the patient nor family mentioned nausea or abdominal pain which was what she came in for in the first place. Don't come to the emergency room, especially if you are in bad shape.

I LIKE TO KNOW , IF YOU GET A SURGERY , CAN YOU MAKE A MONTHLY PAIEMENT?

Patricia Barnes | Sep 10, 2021
Providence Medical Center | Sep 10, 2021

Yes, your deductible and coinsurance is collected up front. If patient is not able to make the full payment, they can pay 33% down and we will set up the remaining balance on a payment plan. This is only for the facility charges, the physician, anesthesia etc., fees are separate and are billed by their own entities. Feel free to call 816-943-4539 for further assistance.

Yes, they hire CNAs. You will need to apply for a KS certification/license. I am not aware of any compact that allows you to move the certification from state to state.

Only in the cafeteria

So i was up there about 8 months ago to have my daughter and i was told that they would send my daughters birth certificate but i never reivied one from the hosptial

britney smallwood | Sep 11, 2018
Squeezable69 Moore | Sep 11, 2018

You should receive a application for a birth certificate to be filled out and sent to Topeka along with the cost. And I believe that you have to send parents ID. Hospital only gives you the one with the footprints. You need to get the one from Topeka asap. .

Why is that a sick child cannot be seen by a doctor if they reside with a grandmother who does not have legal custody however is the primary caregiver of said child?

Patricia Bryant | Sep 11, 2018
Rebecca Matousek | Sep 11, 2018

Because they don't have the legal authority to sign for the child to be treated if they don't have leg custody or power of attorney. That's usually how it goes anyway. If the child is seen by a doctor they are already set up with it shouldn't be a problem but if they are seen in the ER or by a new doctor they have to have the child's legal guardian. I hope that helps.
