The worst Medical Office experience I've ever had. - Booked an appointment with Dr. Kromo back in March, the appointment was for July, the 'day before' they called me to tell me I needed an "authorization" for my referral. Spoke with Cigna and Rheumwell office several times, Cigna insisted an authorization is not needed for a consultation (an authorization for a referral appointment has not been used for over 15 years). They didn't accept the insurance company answer and rescheduled me for August 3rd, with another Doctor. - Today, August 1st I called (after many calls the past week with the insurance company, primary Dr. and Rheumwell) and confirmed they had everything needed for this week's appointment, after keeping me on hold for several minutes, they confirmed everything was ok - An hour later they called to tell me that they cannot take any new patients with CIGNA, they have to book me 6 months out You would think they could have noticed this is March, or in May (when I had to re-scheduled), or in July when they changed my appointment? No, they noticed in August, right after they confirmed everything was ok. Did they offer a suitable solution to their mistake? NO Did they take into consideration the 5 months I've already been waiting? NO. Can't say anything about the Doctors because I didn't get to see anybody. But the administrative staff shows how deeply rotted the medical system is, it is not about the practice of medicine or the well being of the patient, it's just pushing papers and billing codes.

I will never go back to this office again!!! They are disorganized, rude, parking is a nightmare, LONG wait times to get an appointment and LONG wait times to be seen during your visit. Get ready, they also have a long list of office rules too! All to their advantage! I was a patient at this office for 18 months. As a new patient you’ll see Dr. Kromo and for one (1) more follow up visit. That’s it! After that, your visits will only be scheduled with a nurse practitioner. You will not see Dr. Kromo again! The parking: Horrible experience! The office requests that you arrive 45 minutes prior to your appointment due to the extreme difficulty finding parking. You’ll hate dealing with this every time you visit the office! Tardiness: If you arrive 15 minutes after your scheduled time, your appointment will be cancelled. Now I have w inside the examing room for both Dr. Kromo and Ms Homen, nurse practitioner for over 40 minutes and they just say “sorry we’re running behind due to patient emergency, blah, blah, blah… and all is good. Now how is that fair??? Their time counts but the patient’s time does not? Contacting the office: I have dialed their number, been placed on hold, driven to the office, reached the front desk and I’ve still been on hold on my phone and no one has answered once. Worst of all and most recently, the last straw for me was the following. I arrived early to my appointment after dealing with the difficult parking situation. I reached the office only to be told by the Office Manager, Mia that my appointment would be cancelled because they hadn’t received a referral for my visit and if I wanted to self-pay for a simple follow-up appt the cost would be $170!! That’s absurd! I explained that my primary doctor’s office had sent the referral and I was on the phone with my Primary’s office when Mia said “sorry your appointment has been cancelled”. I still had a 10 minute window left for my appointment time and she still cancelled my appointment. I explained that if I had to leave the office without being seen, I would never return and her response was “that’s fine”. I requested my medical records right then and there and I’m still waiting to receive them 10 days later.

I have been going to Rheumatic Wellness Institute for the past couple years and I’ve had nothing but a great experience. I saw Dr. Kromo on my first visit and then from there I have had the pleasure of being seen by the nurse practitioner Jenny. Every time I’m seen by her, she takes her time with me and listens to my concerns/comments. I have been feeling so much better since going to this office and I’m so thankful to Jenny and everyone else there!

Please translate to English, but I think you are asking if Dr. Kromo works for or at Baptist? She has her own practice called Rheumwell in South Miami. I don't know what hospital affiliations she has, but I would assume she has Baptist and South Miami privileges. I hope this helps. She's an amazing rheumatologist.
