We are currently choosing areas for green burial and should have full details, including prices, by Feb. 1, 2023. Embalming isn't required for burial anywhere in Topeka Cemetery. Also, we do our best to accommodate burial practices of faith groups, including those that require burial within 24 hours.
We can always use volunteers. We are currently looking for folks to join our gardening club and help maintain the flowerbeds on Mausoleum Row, in the Catholic section and elsewhere. We currently have no organized group cleanups planned.
Topeka Cemetery staff digs all graves on the property. The current cost of open/close for a full burial is $975 on a weekday. Cost for a cremation burial on a weekday is $500. Outer burial containers are required for all burials.
