Last labor day I stayed across the street at the Renaissance Esmeralda and had a wonderful stay, so we decided to give the Hyatt a try this year. Overall, this was my experience: Good: - Nice and Friendly Staff - Clean Hotel Rooms - Efficient valet service - Great Amenities and Gym - Cool labor day activities around the pool & lazy river for the family. Bad: - Unorganized system when booking cabanas - Beverage/Meal Service around the pool was slow. - Clean up around the pool area was infrequent so there were a lot of empty cups/napkins/plates laying around - No popcorn or snacks given out durning movie night to the kids. I gave the stay a total of 2 stars because I booked a Cabana by the lazy river a day before with the staff and gave them my CC and room #. They told me that all I needed to do was arrive at 9am and I would be escorted to that Cabana. I arrived the next morning at 9am to be told they had NO cabana's by the lazy river anymore and that my cabana was on the other side. I was furious because we planned our whole entire day around having that specific cabana by the lazy river. We were so upset, we called Renaissance Esmeralda to see if we could just go to their pool for the day, where we knew the service was better. Unfortunately, they weren't allowing day passes so we went back and complained to the staff. Eventually, they did accommodate us and discounted a cabana in an undesirable area. This really left a bad taste in my mouth and I will probably not be booking this location again in the future.

The staff (housekeeping, bellman, landscapers, front desk, etc.) work very hard to ensure that our stay was comfortable and relaxing even through extreme weather conditions. Premium customer care.

Not too much of anything really near the place. But plenty of options 5 mins drive away.
Both. Pretty sure stairs are required by law.
Not to my knowledge. I would contact the concierge.
There is not. They have 4-5 main pools including one that has a big slide, a small toddler pool, and an adult only pool. Many of the suites also have private spas on their private backyards.
I don't really know we were there for a CBS seminar
