Doctor himself seems ok but his administrative staff is a disaster. Completely disorganized, rude, no customer service. They called me and left me a voicemail that my appointment needed to be rescheduled. I did not make a big deal but I was busy so I did not call them back for another 1,5 month to schedule a different date. When I called they told me that I was a no show for a rescheduled date and I have to pay a no show fee. They were trying to tell me that they spoke with me and scheduled a different date with me. I never called them back until now or spoke with these people! How can I be a no show to an appointment I never agreed to????? It was hard for them to understand and they kept referring to their notes that obviously someone in their office messed up big time. When I got finally frustrated they put me on a hold so I can’t relax?? Seriously ? I did not even get “ I am sorry”. They were going to give me “a favor” and reschedule but giving me some speech about “respect” like I am some 5 year old. I told them a little customer service would not hurt them and I do not need to go to their office anymore to get preached by some admin instead of getting apology from them for messing this all up in first place. I will find another doctor with a better support staff. There is plenty of good ones around LA. I have never experienced something like this. I recommend staying away.

My 7 month old son had an appointment today with Dr Brookenthal. The office is really disorganized, after more than half and hour of waiting (with an infant, crying after that long waiting in an small room) no one came to apologize or give some kind of explanation. At this point we decided to leave. This is unacceptable, in the middle of a pandemic having to wait that long with a baby in an office full of people. Also the employees working there are very rude, no manners at all. We are not going back. They should know better how to schedule and how to treat patients. We never saw the doctor, so I have no opinion about how good the doctor is.

Hello! I am Keith Brookenthal! Yes we accept cash patients. Generally we will figure out what the insurance company reimbursed and simply charge the same. A patient just told me I was in Los Angeles magazine so I googled it and came across this question. I have no idea when it was asked. But yes please call the office and speak with the office manager and she will take care of everything. Be well! Keith
