My cousin told me about this place and made an appointment for me. You have to text the number as he doesn’t take phone calls. Kenny, the artist/homeowner, will give you instructions on what to do when you arrive. He gives you an hour to view the art on the property but tells you to meet him after 45 minutes, so he can tell you about the art. He stresses that you don’t rush through. We were finished pretty early because it was so hot, but we wanted to hear him talk about the art. It wasn’t really meaningful and mostly sounded like a spiel. He didn’t sound passionate at all. The main goal is to sell you some of his resin art (displayed in a little shed) and/or to get a donation from you. It was a bit of an uncomfortable experience because he was extremely pushy about it. I should’ve read reviews beforehand. Just FYI, the exit is the way you come in which we didn’t know, so we thought he was blocking our way out. I would let him know if you’re leaving early out of politeness if you decide to do that. The art on the property is collected items. A lot of it is painted over. Could be scary for children. Is worth a visit if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t travel to see it specifically.

A place for the weird and unusual. I got holiday apocalyptic vibe. Mechanical reindeer, creepy Santa's and skull trees. Make an appointment, you can easily text him and say "I wanna come at this time" just don't be late! Lol This is a GREAT surprise. I had no expectations when coming here and was blown away. I went alone in the middle of 11am PS hot. Every way you turn is thought out. What a genius! I was stunned at how this was designed. I gave it 4 stars because the artist of the home is a stereotypical artsy weird guy and I can imagine some people would be uncomfortable and leave prematurely. He wants you to stay a full hour and really get a good look at all of it. It's donation based so you don't have to pay to get in but you should. At the end there's a display of his super cool resin art. Which I didn't have extra money for, but was so beautiful and he was a bit pushy with me buying art to support his work. This would be so sick at night! I want to come back and see it again.

New walkways are a great addition!

Parking is about two blocks away along Ruth Hardy park. If you just drive down there are people dircting traffic.
There is no set fee, but there is a sign explaining they run on donations. It is visible from outside, but there is far, far more inside that is not seen from the street.
Typically no. And there's concern whether it will occur in the future.
It is being relocated and a location hasn't been determined yet. I'm pretty sure he's doing a separate installation at a Detroit art museum while he figures out a new location in the desert.
Its the last year for Robolights at this location.... Go before you miss out on seeing it
Yes, open until Jan 2nd, 7 days, 4-9:30 pm. You can arrange for private tours, but only in the daytime hours.
Free admission
No unfortunately its closed permanently and he moved.
You do have to have an appointment. The guy is working there a lot so maybe doesnt check his phone frequently. We went last week and he has his art for sale as well. Plan to spend an hour there at least or the dude will be bummed.
I don't think they open before 5... I don't know when it closes, but it's open late.
It's not. Private tours only. PM Lenny for arrangements
No Robolights for the public this year. Things are in the works at another future location. You can pm Kenny Irwin on fb for a scheduled private tour.
All of Kenny's art is from discarded, donated items.
Details are up in the air. What's clear is it won't be housed in the Movie Colony neighborhood after a 30+ year run.
No. It usually opens for the winter holiday season. I think you can contact the artist to make an appointment during the rest of the year.
Outside of Christmas hours, you need to contact Kenny to make an appointment. Try the phone number or FB messenger.
It will move. I think he found a warehouse.
It's over. As all barriers and signs have been removed and also states it was over on Jan 2 as per FB page
Not really. One or two benches close to the end.
They ask a donation but no fixed amount that I remember.
Kenny is the owner and artist at Robolights. He may give you a tour outside Chrstmas time if you make an appointment with him. You can contact him through Facebook.
The artists phone number is on the website. If you text him you can set up a walkthrough.
Only during the holidays
It is open today, from 9AM to 5PM. There us no entrance fee, but you can make a donation.
No, you can walk around freely once you enter.
I guess it was earlier than the 10th
