We go on Dec 23 or 24 as we don’t decorate for Christmas until after our December birthdays have been celebrated. We love going. Many trees are sold but we just pass by those. We find one every year, no problem. Prices are reasonable and the fires haven’t bothered the farm too much. People are friendly and we enjoy the experience EVERY YEAR. This year we get to add a grand baby. We are from CO and miss those forests but still a great memory maker for our 4 kids, plus an in-law kid and a fiancé kid so 6 this year. So much fun just walking around and searching, debating whose choice is best, and then we get to help cut. They load and we go home very happy. Smells great there too.

Good job Peltzer family :( You have taken a 40 year customer and lost us. Last year was the final straw, I was 5th in line, went directly to the "big" trees and everyone of the them were already taken. Now I know you let others in before the opening day and get the pick of the harvest. This was the third and last time I will ever give your farm business. It was my conversation with Chuck Sr. that got you the Silverado farm years ago. Really sad that you have taken such a wonderful family tradition and squashed it with your business practices.

The trees were great; nicely shaped. Checkout was quick and the help friendly. Very festive with the band playing Xmas carols. We arrived about 12:30 on day one.

When I got my tree they asked if I wanted to cut it down, so I'm guessing it's a common request
Yes i just left there around 3 this afternoon and they still had them
The prices for trees start at about $45 and go up from there depending on size. 4 to 5 feet is the smallest tree. Hope this helps.
It is all dirt roads inside but it's compacted well, there maybe a couple of softball sized rocks that would be easy to go around. If dust is an issue I would pass, other than that you should be ok. I try to go as early as possible both in the day and in the season to avoid the crowds.
We start at 5' and go up from there :)
Yes, opening day is Saturday, November 21st :)
The farm opens prior to Thanksgiving, on Saturday, November 17th. You can come anytime after the 17th to choose and pay for your tree. You can then return anytime before Dec 23 to pick up your tree. Just be sure to keep your sales receipt if you decide to do that.
