So I'm really trying to wrap my head around poor customer service. I chose to bring my business to you. I do not have to pay a visit to your establishment. So when I come simply to get a library card there is no need for you to push me to the side, slam an application on the counter, tell me to fill this out, don't give me a pen, then proceed to help the next customer. Then when I asked if I may please have a pen, she slams a pencil down in front of me. Wow, just wow. Surely wasn't treated poorly in any way at the Camarillo Library. Won't be back. Too bad because it looks like a very nice library for the 5 minutes I saw it.

I took my 2 toddlers , to the storytime they host for toddlers every week. The Philippino lady who was doing the storytime has no patience for toddlers , I won't be coming to this library anymore.

You can print anything you can access on the internet. There is no color printing though, just black and white. So if you have a picture, i suggest sending it to your email, then accessing your email from one of our public computers.

We have a service called hoopla which allows you to download video with you library card. We also have video and DVDs in the libraries. Everything is free!
Yes, we do have an ongoing book sale in the gift shop. The books in the sale are ones that patrons have donated, or books that we are discarding from the collection. We are not Barnes & Noble, so you will not be able to find the new bestsellers or anything like that. But you will come across lots of other cool, interesting finds!
While Oxnard Public Library is physically closed to the public the library is not accepting materials donations. The library does continue to accept monetary donations. If you have questions regarding donations please call 385-7532 and a Reference Librarian will assist you.
Hi Joy, The Oxnard Public Library has been closed on Fridays since 1992 and Sunday closures were started a few years ago due to staffing shortages. If you have questions all of the phone lines have voice mail and staff will return your call on the next business day. The Library also has a robust set of resources and materials that may be used 24/7 online via the website oxnard.org/library.
Hi Angel, All three of the Oxnard Public Library branches reopened in June with their usual hours. The Main & South Oxnard Branch Libraries are open M-Th 9am-8pm & 9-5:30pm on Saturdays. The Colonia Branch Library is open M-Th 12pm-6pm. The Main Library has the parking lot entrance open for entrance and exit. You may also exit via the A St. side as well. We look forward to seeing you soon!
