So I called the service department yesterday and spoke to Lexi. I needed to schedule an oil change and my car has some recalls, being it is a brand new 2022 Taos. However, my car has a coolant leak. Lexi could not schedule my service appointment until September 9th, which is fine; but then I was told that since I had a leak it was an “emergency situation.” This was causing my car to overheat. She said any type of leak is treated as an emergency situation and, as such, you can take your car in to get serviced same day. So the next morning, today August 31, I took my car in hoping they would at least give me more coolant until September 9. The woman in the service lane was no help. She said she “didn’t know why they tell people that” and that they probably wouldn’t even be able to look at my car until my appointment on the 9th (10days from now) and that they could keep it until then. Obviously that is not in my best interest and highly annoying after being told it was an emergency situation and that I could bring it in immediately to address the leakage. It seems like a simple five minute fix. Just add coolant. I don’t normally leave negative reviews but this was terrible customer service and makes me think twice about getting a Volkswagen in the future.
