Helped us when no one else would. They cared for us and helped us navigate the government paperwork. I will forever be grateful for them.

The image of little staff, to serve the public.

The agency terminated my case worker and my case set idle for three months. Repeated calls to the only number I had went unanswered. No one picked up the slack. As a result I was left holding a cost of three months of assisted living. Follow up has proven to be useless. People would rather argue than accept responsibility.

Questions & Answers

The organization never returns calls. How do they help seniors if they are consistently unresponsive? Does anybody have the directors number? Is this a government agency? How do you contact their board of directors? Thanks

Unfortunately this is state run office and the way to get anything accross is by calling the state directly or write the governor if enough people complain they will investigate

Hello, you say they help elderly or disabled people. How old should you be? Or include all disabled people.

You have to do an interview and then if you qualify, you will send the application to be filled out by your primary doctor. It is like plan eight, stand in line and wait, excuse the honesty and good luck.

My mother has a Universal Life insurance since 1991. She was charged $61 a month. Effective April payment increases to $117; then increased again in Sept by 10%? My Mom is 78yrs old. Shouldn't she be able to recoup the cash and still have insurance

Sometimes a very long time, unfortunately. I don't work there, but I know that funding to hire staff is always an issue, b regardless of the need.

How can you help me with a caregiver for my son that has muscular dystrophy? LTC can be provided for him in this case? Meaning he doesn't apply for Medicare and has Medicaid. Everyone says that he can get the LTC with Alliance for aging.

He may qualify for LTC if the state determines that he’s in enough medical need and if he qualifies financially. He first needs to be assessed by phone and placed on a waiting list. The Alliance does not determine who gets off the waiting list. The more frail a person is and the more hardship a caregiver faces, the higher the chance they can get LTC.
