Of course, the Inn is beautiful, but the personal service made it memorable. I made reservations with a chef, think her name was Sue, who was filling in at the desk. I told her that we were two 80 year old sisters were traveling in unknown territory in driving rain. When we hadn't show up after dark, she called to see if we were OK. We weren't, we were lost. She guided us in. Hearing that we hadn't eaten dinner, she gave us yummy chicken sandwiches and a wonderful pasta salad. Then she got her grandson to help us with our luggage up to the third floor. If I could rate the Inn a 10 I would!

The food was delicious the bread was soft and hot. My room was cozy. It felt more like I was visiting someone instead of being in a motel room. The bathroom light/fan made a irritating sound and my pillow shams was old and different plus at 9:30 they dim the lights and lock the doors but you are given a key to get back in. Over all was a very nice stay and would stay again.

I can't say enough good things about this place!!!! The food was unbelievably delicious, one of the best steaks I have ever had the pleasure to eat, the staff was outstanding and the rooms were clean and beautiful and historically decorated. Also, to be a 9 room specialty hotel, the price per night can't be beat. I would definitely recommend this place, over and over again.

First visit. All the orders came out incorrect sides. We ended up trading sides amongst ourselves. Food was delicious and brought our in a timely fashion. Will visit again because I was told this was very unusual. Busy night.

I used to live out side of Rogersville from 1940 to 1945. We ran a bed and breakfast at the location of Andrew Jackson inn right on hwy 11. We sold to a Doctor that was in town at that time. I saw the inn in 1964. Did they tear this old building dow

Hale Springs Inn is on Main Street. The only inn I am aware of on 11W in Rogersville is a Quality Inn not far from TRW. There is a B&B on Old Hwy 11W in the Mooresburg/Bean Station area. I have no idea if it is a historic building or not, though. Hale Springs Inn is a half block East of the court house. As for historic buildings on 11W, I'm not aware of any.

Is there a back door?

Yes, the back parking lot can be a bit tricky, but it's on Washington Street and you turn in between and upholstery place and a chain link fence. The driveway is gravel and there are 5 yellow concrete posts at the beginning. You may park where you wish. Walk down the breezeway next to the patio and the back door is right there. There is a black call box on the right that reaches the on-site inkeepers room in case there is ever any trouble with your key.
