Go the "extra mile" to Joy's next time you're craving Trini food in Miami. This place only gets away with this bc they're the only eatery in Miami area with this fare on the menu. The food was disappointing to say the least. I had the duck with paratha & pumpkin. It was served with some kind of potato-mush that was in a tray on the side of the hot plate they use to make the roti skins...but when I tasted it-was cold. Usually these things are kept warm with a pool of hot water under them... The curry duck on my plate was served in a pool of oil and the pumpkin had a green taste that was very unappetizing, I tried to avoid scooping any of that up with each bite. The doubles I ordered (to go) were doughy like pholourie(using the same pholourie batter to make the bara??) & tasted like they were made in old oil. 2 stars bc I appreciate the effort & understand it is not easy to run a roti shop successfully. If it was easy there would be more options, right? In all honesty will not go back & do not recommend.

In my opinion her price goes up weekly and her employees(family members)are rude. They expect you to tip them even if you are not dining in.. I have learned to give them the exact amount.. they don’t give back change.

Very clean. And the owner is such a sweetheart. She’s cracking jokes , and the food tastes good. I’m Haitian and It was my first time having trini food. Finally tasted doubles!!!! And the roti is big. You will definitely be full. No deliveries. Everything is prepared right there in front of you. Only cash. Worth every penny!

LC's is just one of many doubles/limin' spots! North Dade and broward are full of many of those types of joints. Google keywords: roti Dade Broward. Also, Thursday nights are Trini soca nights at Ginger Bay restaurant and lounge in Hollywood (Fl.). Also, if you're looking for Saturday nights liming action, check here: Soursop "Satdays" is here again... share this email, tell a friend sweet, sweet music from start to end doors open at 9pm. @Soursop.SatDays#EveryFirstSaturday #UptownBashmentParty Music By: DJ Ana - High heals and Serato (the soca princess from Trinidad) Willy Chin - Remix King Cool Blaze - the New Wave. Food By: Euro Kitchen (Inside). Also, search keyword "soca fete Miami broward" on Facebook. You'll have lots of options for day and night-time Trini lime. Other than that, Miami broward is loaded with Trini action on the weekends... just work the Google, Facebook and IG scene for Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. Hope this helps. ENJOY Breds!!!
No they don't deliver. They don't accept orders in advance either. They make the rotie fresh when you order in the restaurant. Cash only.
