They are ok, but last time the person couldn’t tell me how the tax broke down on my receipt for 2 packs of Tumwater. The price for 2 was 23.98. But the tax was 10.72. Looking down on the recipe t, it breaks it down. But it it doesn’t explain the $10.72 cents for 23.98 of liquor. Should a liter tax be charged for cans? Or is this just Safeway doing this? I went to the store and they said ‘it’s all calculated’.

I like Safeway. I always find whatever I need there for the most part. I prefer going there to QFC (Issaquah Gilman location) where several of the staff there have major attitude problems. I know retail isn't easy, but being gratuitously rude is never cool. So yeah, Safeway has my vote!

This is the first time I have tried to fill a prescription for my daughter. The pharmacist (male)taking the prescription was not friendly and seemed rushed even though there was only one other person picking up a prescription, with 2 pharmacist and one tech. It was around 3:15pm. I came back at 6:30pm to pick it up and found out that the prescriber asked for the wrong quantity to be dispensed. I explained to the pharmacist (female) that it was supposed to be a 3 month supply instead of one month. She did not offer to call the prescriber to clarify the error, and instead told me to call. It took me 2 days for the prescriber to get back to me, and I found out that the prescription was called into another pharmacy. I then called Safeway pharmacist (male) at 5pm and told him the error and asked him to transfer the prescription. He told me that the prescription would not be ready until the next day and I would get a text. It should not take that long to transfer a prescription and fill it. Yes, the error was initially made by the prescriber, but it did not have to be compounded by the pharmacist (s). I have been a pharmacist for 26 years and have worked for Safeway as a pharmacy manager, and I was extremely disappointed with the service. I will not be going there again.

Even though the clerk attending the self check out called me a “sir” twice, I’m rating this store a 5 because it was an honest mistake (I was bundled up and masked), and because they weren’t out of anything, it is super clean, and all of the workers I encountered were actually really nice. The guy with the push broom might want to wait for less busy times, but it’s hard to fault a kid who wants to clean something.
