Wonderful agency that offers a variety of different services. Very professional in nature. Also has The CUPBOARD FOOD PANTRY. It also offers workshops and webinars on various related topics and subjects. Very educational as well as informative. Highly recommended.

Several years ago when I was in my late 50’s, I lost everything I owned in the world. Partly due to a crooked Financial Advisor who had a Ponzi scheme going and I lost all of what would be now my entire retirement fund, and my husband of 24 years becoming a full-blown drunk, who preferred living in the street and drinking, rather than working. I am disabled, my son is Autistic, and I did not know where to turn. After applying for and being approved for SSDI/SSI, we at least had something, but if I’m honest, the financial struggle is perpetual. I reached out to many organizations and various Charities such as Catholic Charities and Salvation Army, but no help from anyone. My son also has T 1 Diabetes, and not having much food can be very dangerous as it causes severe bouts of hypoglycemia. I came across JFS, to be specific, a woman with the first initial of M, as I want to respect her privacy. If she should read this review, she’ll know it is she that I speak of. A kind, compassionate, caring woman, who helped my son and I when I was truly at the point of despair. Without JFS, I cannot imagine what I would do when we go through the periodic extreme rough patches. I can only say that everyone affiliated with JFS, and especially M, should always have God’s blessings, because of all the good they do for others. Thank you M, and thank you JFS.
