This place is an absolute nightmare to try and get anything done. You have to call a dozen times to hopefully get someone to answer. Even then they have no information on most things that matter. The inspectors have 0 regard for the ones submitting permits, they update their schedule at 9:30am sometimes and some inspectors already started at 8:30 so you missed them. You have to be at the job site the entire day because they lack communication or even basic organization skills. The building and zoning department is a total joke, they take a month to review a permit and I’ve had a case where it took them 3 months;one month for them to review and tell me I need a rework. Two extra months to finally see the rework I submitted. It’s ridiculous and I would consider telling others not to get jobs here because of their ridiculous codes and absolutely awful organization and time management skills. You’ll waste a lot of money and time trying to work with them I wish you luck.

Horrible service, they don't even answer phones. It's a mission to get permits. I feel with all of Miami and Broward municipalities, this one is a special case, they should get all new staff.

I have dealt with many cities in the past and there is nothing like Miami Gardens. They are unreal and i believe the state should step in. This is absurd. We have left countless amounts of messages and they never return calls.They should fire the whole staff and start with all new employees..
