I moved my mother to Memory Care at Heritage Legacy in July of 2020 in the midst of the global Covid pandemic. Her need to be in a safe place superseded my need to see/touch/hug her regularly-her safety was a priority. It was a difficult decision but one I do not regret. Even with 40 hours of home care per week in her apartment, she was no longer safe alone. I am so thankful for Kristina Krumme (you are an Angel!)and all of the staff at Heritage Memory Support who have helped me through this process. The “chat room” they created on their memory support patio has been an opportunity for my local family and my brother’s family from out of state to visit regularly and safely with my mother. Regular FaceTime visits on an I-pad have also helped us to stay connected. We are all doing our best during this bizarre time and I am eternally grateful for all of the staff at Heritage Legacy who have helped us through this experience. Thanks especially to Kinze, Esme, Deb, Kim (answers my calls so kindly!) and Caleigh who does the wonderful weekly newsletter-you have no idea how much I appreciate what you do! Love Heritage Legacy!
