Lack of communication or because I'm black? This experience was nothing like anything I've ever experienced. Took written test at 10a. Had to get insurance paper & was told to get back in line (take another #). Took new # then...they have me sitting from 10:45a-1p only to be told the driving part can't happen until after 2p because both assessors will be at lunch & to take another number 15 min before 2. Then to be told at 2:30 they must take appointments 1st & if they have time, then they will take walk-in. Then told at 3:15p if driving assessments are not completed by 4p I'll have to come back another day. Next, driving assessor takes about 15 min doing an assessment with people with appointments & wouldn't call the next person for another 30 min. Yet, they have 2 assessor the 2nd assessor NEVER came out to assess anyone !! To add to the lack of communication, they continued to allow people to walk in & take a number knowing they wouldn't have time to handle their business. Needless to say, I left at 4p. Smh soo, again, is it lack of communication or being black? ijs

Walked in waited 10 minutes before we were officially greeted. After waiting approximately 45 minutes a woman came out and we went in to the office and immediately I was asked to leave and go wait outside instead of helping my friend who is hard of earing. She. Had an attitude from the very beginning very very unpleasant experience.

Make appointment for renewal of license
You'll have to mske an appointment online. And whwn it asks for what day, you'll have to scroll until theres a green block. That means thats their next avalible day for appointments. I had to wait til Jan 6th to try for mine and my license expired back in September. So it might be a month or so. You can go online to ncdmv.com and it should direct you to make an appointment online. Hope this helps.

You have to make an appointment to talk to them. I dont have an appointment until the middle of October 😳
They are but it's better make an appointment. They stop you at the door, no sitting in. Most things can be done on line now, and they recommend it..

Don't need a license to ride a moped in NC. Just need insurance and registration.
from the DMV, Probably not. However the city Archives or their school year book may have something.
Safe to say you'll need Your Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, mail with your current address (bill works) Proof of Insurance and if your last name changed do to marriage ECT the marriage License or documentation justifying name change.
