Hotel Vienna

The hotel Vienna was a nice place to stay for a weekend in the Catskills. The room was spacious and clean. We had a mountain view king jacuzzi room. I assumed (and was looking forward to) a view of Windham Mountain. In reality we could see a smallish mountain in the distance, so I suppose that's what was meant. With that said, the view was quite nice, of the walking trail and the nearby fields - it just wasn't quite what I was expecting. On Sunday evening we decided to go sit in the hot tub... When we got to the pool house we discovered the pool and the hot tub empty. Nothing that I saw on the website or in my confirmation email mentioned that the pool was unavailable, and it wasn't mentioned when we checked in. It wasn't a real big deal but it was kind of disappointing. These are my only complaints, and they are admittedly minor. If we ever decided to go back to Windham, I would probably stay there again.

We stayed at the spacious and clean house on hotel property. Lovely mountain views. Great comfy jersey bedding on nice mattresses - not too hard, not too soft, just right! House has a well inventoried kitchen - coffee maker, teapot, pots and pans, plates, glasses, stemware, silverware, etc all included if you want to prepare meals at home. Amazing wooden deck for yoga, sunsets! Spacious dining areas indoors or out. The hot tub was awesome!!! Perfect way to relax at the end of an active day in nearby nature. Great food options in Windham restaurants less than 5m by car. The Main Street Market looks like a typical deli/bodega, but the butcher and prepared food were insanely good. The scenic Windham Path is easily accessible to the property and makes a 2 mile or so loop. (Perfect for my walking meditation in the mornings.) Albergo Allegria Breakfast Restaurant is a close neighbor on the Windham Path if you want a special Farm to Plate hearty breakfast. (The homemade sausage there was incredible!) A more simple continental breakfast at the Hotel on the property also available with good selection of breads, cereals, yogurt, granola, coffee. Multiple fire pits on the property can be private or shared with others. Fun lawn games provided by hotel staff just ask them! The genius of this property is the house which can be for a family or group of friends - and then extra family or friends can stay at the hotel. Ample parking compared to other nearby properties. Enjoy being together (and apart) on the same grounds.

Hotel is ok... definitely not many choices in the area. Rooms spacious and seemed updated. Smelled strange. Water is just plain dirty. When I asked about it, was told it's just their water system. use the Britta in the fridge in the breakfast rm... seriously, large black blobs coming out from faucet. my cup looked like someone put a cigarette out in it.

Had a fantastic stay here. Very clean, simple room (would have loved a mini fridge, but that's about the only "eh"). Jacuzzi and balcony were awesome! The pool and hot tub were super clean and amazing! Kathleen gave us a killer restaurant recommendation and was professional and made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. Location is perfect. We'll be back!
