Their assorted meat packages were good in past years, all local beef. We've bought 3 packages over the years. The first two packages were high quality but the last one was disappointing. The beef was fine and up to the usual standard but the pork chops and ribs were awful, very fatty and strange tasting. We ended up throwing some of it away. Prices are also no longer competitive with Costco.

I have been using Lolo Locker to process our wild game for several years now. I can say they do great work, have fair prices and a friendly staff.

I highly encourage sportsmen and women to weigh their hard earned quartered/boned-out game meat before dropping it off at Lolo Locker. Document the weight with pictures of the scale weight, hanging identifiable sacked meat, and the date and time. I believe this practice will help with honest business and help insure that you receive back what you brought in. Obviously, the owner will respond by saying that all of the meat that is brought in is immediately weighed. In my unfortunate experience, prior proper documentation would have been well worth the effort. I wish you all the best of luck punching your tag and getting your game meat to the dinner plate!

It is unfortunate to give someone such a low rating. However here is why, I took an elk to these guys 10 years ago got the meat back and if I were to guess 50% of the packages had hair in them. I called and told them about it and the response, was if it comes with hair on it we can't guarentee the meat will be hair free. Unacceptable response and unacceptable qaulity. Here 10 years later I took another elk "small bull" to them to process. I now live in Eastern MT and a family member met me half way to pick it up. I got home to find that I had 65-70# of breakfast sausage when I only ordered 30#. I was charged correctly for my order but that is 35 #'s roughly of burger I lost. When I called they told me the sausage was in 1# packages but were acually 1.5#. One response I got was "well you are a long ways away, what would you like me to do"? Also said well its get crazy busy here and things get messed up. Never once did they offer to make it right or suggest something. My response was "I dont know but it's frustrating to order somthing and pay almost $500 and not get what you asked for". The response from them on that was, "well maybe you should just go somewhere else where you will have better luck. I can't believe the lack of integrity for what they do and maybe offer to make it right rather than have an I don't care attitude. Very disappointed.

Oh I'm sure you can. Best option is to call them before you make the trip and then you'll know for sure.
