I have been homeless for over a year and on disability and never asked anyone for a handout .I cant work die to shoulder Injury and so ended up on state disability and I lived I. My car paid my Bill's and managed to save and buy a travel trailor I. This year and I also saved to rent a spot I can afford with my car payment insurance etc.so I also have two dogs living I my car with me .so I am feeling proud cause I find a place and I'm thinking thank goodnes I. Almost gona have a place to call home I paid the deposit of 850 but now I need the rent of 750 so I call every place I can find for help and they all refer me to catholic charities. Long story short I was denied because it was not a house or an apartment .so it's very wrong to advertise that u help people from bei m homeless or that u help get homeless off street .I normally work I do nt draw food stamps and I struggled and lived day to day and was responsible at saving and I went through alot to get myself a place to call home .oh and I was scheduled for my shoulder surgury and wanted to be able to recover without living In a Car .so basically I was rejected and left o. Streets and lost my spot due to not havi g the first monthes rent .very heartbreaking when I've helped myself and gone without and paid my taxes and these people turned me down I am angry and will contact the donors because their is people that are on drugs and dont help themselves and I worked hard and did right all alone and I tried and they wouldnt help me very disappointed and I wont let this go .very sad sincerely kimberly
