How things have changed.. The station was a sooty, flaking paint location the last time and first time I visited this station. Considering there was a busy railroad, beautiful city park across the street and passenger trains running, the Historical Society has done a beautiful job of restoring the station. Also wish they could have obtained a retired LV locomotive to tie up with the caboose. Understanding, there were no steam locomotives saved. When I visited the door had an open sign on it and the door was locked. So, verify when the depot is open. The next time we’re in the area, we plan on visiting the museum to reminisce where my grandfather worked.

We didn't get to go inside as it was closed. Wish it were open more than 2 days a week. Good train history in that area.
