Appointment at 12:35 pm.Got the technician at 1 pm. Make sure you are checked in even if they say you are as soon as you enter. Not sure what was the issue and why there was so much of a delay. Not a good experience. What is the point of an appointment if you still need to wait 30 minutes to really be seen. Very disappointing for a brand like Apple

An appointment was made for me, a week ago, by Apple support. I was dubious, but showed up at my scheduled time. They knew who I was! My laptop was soon diagnosed as beyond help by a friendly technician. I indicated I'd like a new device. I asked and received advice on how to retrieve my old drive's information. He expressed my options and I choose a new computer on the spot. I left the shop after 30 minutes total. I am pleased.

Not many ten year old computers are supported for web or media use. I doubt there is anything they can do for your iMac. A third-party store may be able to make it stable but not up to date.
Check the online store for pickup availability. They usually do have examples of each type and color.
You can go to Apple's website and book them there.
If the appointments are booked too far out online, you can go to the store and try and get a walking spot. They will text you when they're ready so you can do other things while waiting.

You can schedule an appointment online though Apple's website or you could walk in and schedule one (which is what I did).
It's possible your phone is too full. Try installing Google photos. It will back up all your photos and videos for free and then help you remove them from the storage on your iPhone. Once you free up the space it may allow your phone to function correctly
