I love this trail, great huge bridges, great country ride, very Quiet, all paved, clean, air is fresh. I rode this trail way back in 1996, great wild flowers in early spring, early summer. Lots of tree covered riding, some grades, not bad. TAKE LOTS OF WATER WHEN YOU RIDE. AND ENJOY NATURE.!! June 15 2022 Drove out to Mt Vernon, To ride on the Kakosing trail. Saw the BIG storm that went through . i rode The the trail for 5 miles. Trees down all over trail. Had to carry my bike over top, fallen tree. After 8 trees jumping over? I got exhausted. Took a good break, turned around, back to. My truck, what a waisted day. I mean some of these trees where BIG. Hope the ranger s get it cleaned up. Soon. This is one of my favorite trails.

This is a very scenic trail along the Kokosing River from Mt.Vernon, to Howard and beyond to northeast Ohio.

Just got back from a morning bike ride with the family. This is a really nice, peaceful trail with a lot of scenery. It runs along the Kokosing river in Mt. Vernon and continues to Gambier to the south. Nice little getaway for some morning exercise and relaxation.

We are coming from out of town. We want to go one way on the trail. We don't think we can make the loop. Is there a way to get us back to Mt Vernon with out riding the bikes? Coming in Friday, August 7.
