My go to for all my Nikon repair needs. They’ve taken good quality care of the many times I’ve had to go there! Update: I had an emergency need for repair but was only visiting. The repair I knew would not be completed by the time I was headed back home out of state. I was extremely impressed at how well the camera was packaged and shipped to me upon repair. Seriously, you can't find quality repair shops for cameras. I've done the research now that I no longer live near them. For those of you in the Sacramento area, you're lucky to have such a resource. For me, I may need to have them service my cameras when visiting, and in dire need, I'll probably ship to them.

I recently got a mark on my song camera sensor and they were able to get rid of it quickly and for a low price. Great customer service and a speedy process overall! I Highly recommend them (they worked on my sony alpha mirrorless) I will definitely be going here again if any other issues arise in the future.

The service staff was warm and friendly, but the owner was a real jerk and has no regard for his clients. I don’t know about his technical expertise but he is rude and I wouldn’t take my business to him based on his very poor and disrespectful customer service

At California Precision Service we only repair. Occasionally we may have a few repaired units that have been abandoned, but not often. We do carry some batteries for older film cameras. For used equipment contact Action Camera in Roseville. For new equipment, there is Action Camera or Mike's Camera downtown.

Do you guys do repairs to old film cameras?

Mostly, the answer is no. They can check them over the counter. Sometimes they charge to take the camera in if it's something that is more involved to check out. For the most part, they can't get parts for the older cameras, but every once in a while they may have something in stock. They can replace light seals however.

May I ask you to replace a 120 volt 500 watt LBD lamp in a Sawyers 700au slide projector?

Unfortunately that would need to go to the manufacturer as we cannot get parts.

Can you clean the lcd screen (backside) on a Nikon D300 and do you offer the option of converting a D300 to infrared?

Frank Tona | Sep 10, 2019
California Precision Services | Sep 10, 2019

We can clean that screen for you with no problem. The IR conversion we would not be able to do and would need to go to www.Lifepixel.com

I have a grey market Nikon lens (bought mistakenly) works great except lately I'm getting f/0 error and it moves just a little on the body. Possibly from when I dropped my camera. Does this sound fixable? would you work on that lens?

These questions don't go to the company employees, but to other Google Maps users like you. However I did go there recently and they do work on a Nikon equipment so the best thing would be to give them a call and ask about your specific lens issue.
