I normally join a gym for a month while I’m in town visiting family. I normally stay on LI and go to the blink location in Hicksville. This time I’m staying in Queens and joined this location via the website without visiting. BIG mistake!! This location is awful!! The members here need to visit a LI location and see how much nicer those are. The equipment is generally old and etiquette rules need to be enforced. Granted, much has to do with the clientele; young guys who hog equipment, spend more time looking in the mirror than exercising and lots of ego lifting, but blink can and should do more. I’m guessing blink’s philosophy for this location is….this will do for these customers. Attached are pics of a lat bar that is so old and well used, the hole will give any day. Holes in the fabric of the bench. Overflowing garbage can. A rope that is more thread than rope. Blink sees this as a 2nd class location for sure. 2 stars for the fit Asian gentlemen at the front desk, friendly and helpful.

Coming from someone who goes to the gym at least 3 times a week and has been coming here for more than a year. I go here solely because it's near my house but I can't recall ever going two weeks without a machine being broken. They normally take about 2 weeks-1 month for repair. Currently there at three pulley machines out of service (there are only 8). The gym is clean but after working ours this gym is disgustingly packed with teenagers as if they are recruiting in the near high school as a cool hang-out spot. The staff also is not very nice, very dismissive, aloof. If you can go elsewhere...go elsewhere.

Good price but the gym is over crowded due to how small they are and it starts to smell due to the bad air flow. Very hard to get a work out in if you go 4-close due to many people at the gym. Wish they stayed open with late hours.

One of the better gyms I’ve been too. Even when it’s crowded it’s not that bad compared to other gyms during peak hours. Parking lot is very helpful. Only seen it full once, but the area around has plenty of free parking not too far. Compared to other gyms I’ve been too they have more squat racks and bench press stations which is a huge plus for me. But they have less cardio machines for this which isn’t an issue for me at all. Would recommend to anyone nearby.

Each Blink is a franchise with different owners who set the schedule. The QV Blink would need to find the staff to do a 24 hr coverage which would affect its monthly pricing.
