The interior of this branch is amazing!!!! Very peaceful feeling as soon as you walk through the main door. Makes you feel like just grabbing a book from the shelves and finding a chair in one of the small reading rooms they have, and just relaxing and reading a book!!!!

Questions & Answers

Can you return your checked out items to any location or do you have to return your books to branch you checked books from

You may return any book borrowed from the New Orleans Parish Public Library system to any branch of said library system. You don't need to return borrowed media to the branch of the NOPL from which you borrowed it; you may return the borrowed media to any NOPL branch.

I have books to donate. Can I do that today?

Yes, the Friends of NOPL Book sales are Wed, Thurs & Sat. 10 to 2pm, excepting holidays. They take everything but, please no, old textbooks, encyclopedias, or magazines. 😺

Free wifi? Or do I need an "account" here? I'm visiting.

Yes wifi is free in the library

Is there off street parking? I want to attend the Adult Coloring for the first time and need to know where to park. Thank you.

There's street parking all around the block/building. Staff informed me that rarely can't find a parking spot. There are also six off-street parking spaces, one is for handicap parking. Those would probably fill quickly during events. There could be an issue though. Yes, there's plenty of street parking all around the library but the opposite is surrounded by a solid hedge or fence almost on the entire border. You may find parking but have to walk around the corner to find a pedestrian entrance. But on my visit midweek, there was plenty of open parking on the street in front of the library, right near the entrance walk.
