Beautiful kayak. Saw many birds and tons of alligators. Highly recommend.

Magical. We had the best time doing this kayak swamp tour with our guide Bingo. They were passionate and kind and fun, it was a joy. The other tourists were also very friendly and we laughed a lot. Everyone was chill and we all had a very good time. Bingo is really a good guide and you will learn about many fascinating things with them. I'll remember this day for a long time. Also, this tour is really eco-friendly (and not a scam, as other New Orleans swamp tours may be). There is no feeding or touching animals involved and kayaking is not as harmful to the nature as are boats and airboats. The pick-up service is really efficient too! Highly recommended! Thank you Bingo, wish you all the best <3

So fun! Best way to experience the swamp. No, the alligators don't bother you. Our guide was super chill and had some good folk lore to tell us. Could have done a little more story telling but it was a great experience nonetheless! Go in the morning or you'll likely be rained out (earlier the better). Wear sunscreen and bug spray (even though some bugs don't care what you have on!) Two of the girls I was with had never been in a kayak before and they did fine so even if you've never been in a kayak, you'll be good.

Amazing morning out! The swamp was beautiful and we saw a few alligators and other wildlife. Our guide, Bingo, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the swamp and conservation. Definitely worth the cost and one of the best tours we've done.

Hi, it's not impossible, but it will be a challenge I think. The kayaks are not that big, and they are very shallow kayaks, maybe if you just wore something around your neck, but you spend so much of the time paddling , if you're going with a group anyways like I did. Good luck!
Great question! You most likely will see birds, alligators, snakes, fish, and other small mammals.
Yes, we have a 24 hour cancellation policy, otherwise we’re quite flexible. Weather related cancellations are refundable if rescheduling isn’t possible.
Weight restrictions... Our kayaks have a max load of 400 pounds. Age... 6+ Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult or at least have a liability waiver form sign by a guardian. Ability... Our swamp tours our begin friendly. If you’ve recently experienced pain in or had surgery on shoulders or back it would be advisable to consult a doctor or at least try kayaking before committing to our tour.
You will be in your own kayak and the guide is in their own kayak. If you've never kayaked before, the guide can help you learn how to paddle and everything. It's pretty easy. 😊 I believe they do host tours year-round.
Yes we will!
If weather permits they are year round.
There were only double kayaks when we went for the tour
$59 per person or $79 with round-trip shuttle from the French Quarter
We are an eco-tour company, so we do NOT feed the wildlife marshmallows, hotdogs or anything else you see in most baited photos of swamp tours. Please do not support this behavior. It does nothing but harm the wildlife and ecology of the swamp.
Nothing in the swamps is out to harm us. That said, and out of reverence for our swampy friends, we urge you to obey our guides directions and keep respectful distances from any wildlife we encounter as to not disrupt their natural movement. Alligators are nocturnal hunters and mostly reclusive and lazy during the daylight hours. Nothing to worry about.
Yes, it is appropriate to tip the tour guides. Tips will have to be in the form of cash. We will not be able to charge a credit card for a tip. If your guide really works hard and you think he gave a great tour, let him know how much you appreciate it!
We are comfortably beginner friendly as long as you know what you’re signing up for, the swamps are a great first kayaking experience
-We are an eco tour company that does not feed the wildlife! -Our kayaks allow easy entry to shallow and narrow waterways that would be inaccessible to larger motorized vessels. -Silence is golden. Without a large motor disturbing the natural setting, we are able to quietly view the wildlife and landscape as it is naturally without having to bait the waters to generate any excitement. -Education. Our guides have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the history, geology, zoology and current environmental issues regarding our delta.
Our kayak swamp tours run about 2-2.5 hours on the water. It is about as much as most people would like to be on the water. If you want to be on the water for a longer time, then consider hiring us with a private swamp tour.
Not really! In fact, we only use insect repellent perhaps once a year. The whirligigs, dragonflies and other predaceous insects do a great job of keeping the mosquito population down. Sometimes during dusk, they can come out for a few minutes, but on our other tour times, they are non-existent.
--Sunscreen – kayaks do not offer any protection from the sun, so it is important that you wear sunscreen. We will be out on the water for at least an hour and a half. Don’t forget to apply to the tops of your legs, as we use sit-on-top kayaks. --Bug Repellent – while the mosquitoes are not typically a problem on our swamp tours, they can appear during dusk for 1/2 hour, but otherwise, our other tour times they don’t bug us. --Cash – It allows you to tip your tour guides. --Camera – bring your camera or phone camera so that you can capture the beauty of the swamp and its creatures. We sell waterproof cases for your photo if you need or want them. --Comfortable Clothing – wear clothing that is appropriate for the time of year and that is comfortable. Tennis shoes or sandals are recommended for your swamp tour. You may want to bring a light jacket in the cool months and a warmer jacket in the winter, if it is a cooler day. --Questions-- Guides love good questions. --Water/Snack
As long as the temperature is above 70 degrees during the winter, there is a good chance you will find an alligator come out and sun themselves. There are a lot of days when this happens, if the temperature is below 70 degrees, this is not likely to happen. Although there are a lot of great sights to view in the swamp nonetheless.
Alligators are very common in Louisiana. Being cold blooded, they tend to slow down when temperatures dip below 60 degrees but are in abundance and visible during our tour for most of the year!
We would love to! Give us a call, can we bring our crew out on your cycle boat some time?
59$ for the tour and 20$ for the transportation
It’s $59/person if you are meeting us at our launch and $79/head if you use our round trip shuttle.
