What a disaster! The measuring and ordering of the door went great. We were so excited for the install. This is where everything went south! The scheduler needs to let the clients know what the requirements of the installers are. When we could not accommodate the request for another 30 minutes, the installers left. We were well within our scheduled arrival time for the installers when we could accommodate them. A heads up from the scheduler would have avoided all of this. We now need to wait at least another week to have our shower door installed, which delays the rest of the project. People are working from home, kids are schooling from home, if an installer is uncomfortable being in people’s homes (self admitted), when they are in another room with doors closed or on another level of the home (unable to mask due to interview), there needs to be a warning of the requirements. So here we are, 4 weeks later and still no shower door. So beware- depending on which installers you get, they will want you out of the house (not having strangers in my home when I am not) or masked (which is NOT a problem). You just need a warning. Edit: the crew today was great! Very different than the crew last week. We understand the mask requirements for interacting with people within 6ft, more than 15 minutes with people outside your household. We follow this and have with every contractor in our home during the remodel. The crew sent last week- did not want us in the home. Wanted masks on people they were not near or interacting with. (Hundreds of feet away, behind closed doors.) They said “we are not comfortable being with you all in the home. I have a baby on the way and I am high risk.” It was unfortunate you had a crew sent out with such over the top expectations that weren’t clearly communicated ahead of time where proper accommodations could have been made. Glad that the shower door is installed now and the crew sent today was great. Just use better communication with clients when sending a crew that is more high maintenance.

I had two service people try to adjust a slightly sagging glass shower door (2 1/2’x 8’), without remedy. Schicker Luxury Shower was recommended. Two gentlemen, Jessie and Marcos, showed up. They were courteous and professional and exhibited respect to my living space. The work was excellent, as they even replaced all of the stripping and silicone. They even wiped down shower walls. The shower is 15 years old and looks brand new. I would request these two for any future assists. The staff in house was great as well. Very pleased.

Schicker is in a class of their own! If only all vendors were as great as Schicker. Personal service: small company with resources of a big company; quality product: can provide custom/standard glass doors plus willing to modify design to address problem installations; courteous/competent installers: know what they are doing, arrive on time/with materials & protection, courteous; customer service: this is where Schicker shines. Joe Matthews is a gift to homeowners! Thank you so much!
